Security Officers invited to experience ComBus’ control room

Amsterdam’s new ComBus control room showcases its mission critical communication features to security professionals.

The Hague Special Investigation Services have visited Amsterdam's new ComBus control room to learn how they, and the people they serve, will benefit from its innovative features.

Working on the front-line the city’s security officers know all too well that every second counts when an incident occurs. Deployed with reliable Push-to-Talk two-way radios they can connect instantly with control room operators to relay critical voice and data communications.

Proving real-time data is key to ensure the control room operators have all the information to respond effectively and quickly.

It was an invaluable experience for both the front-line personnel and the operators who don’t usually spend time together in the same space. For them to get together to discuss how the data is used centrally will ensure that all members of the team continually improve the way they communicate with each other to keep the general public safe.

The city’s officers were able to see how the operators pinpointed the location of the officers reporting an incident as well as identify the nearest officers who are able to assist. In seconds help is dispatched.

The officers who wear body-warn cameras to stream live footage to the control room saw the power of ComBus’ technology first-hand. They saw how the dispatch operators witness all events as they unfold in real-time enabling them to respond appropriately to help diffuse situations fast. ComBus is committed to develop its technology to raise living standards in all communities, and as it is part of The Entropia Group, it uses the reliable Entropia TETRA network developed for the professional user to guarantee flawless coverage for an undisrupted service.
